//The Plane ticket

Remember in Episode 1 when Teh and his brother took a bus from Bangkok to Phuket?

Teh's brother told him to take a nap because it will be a long ride. Then Teh said that he can’t because long ride gives him back pain.

That is why his brother gave him a PLANE TICKET as a gift! So if you’re thinking what’s the significance of that plane ticket, this MAY BE IT!

I read a theory that Teh will die from a plane crash! I beg to disagree! I’m betting my life on BACKPAIN! No more overthinking! lol! (and I hope I’m not wrong)

Lol! Okay! In the back of my mind, the plane ticket seems to foreshadow the distance that will divide Teh and Oh-aew in the future!? But still no dying okaaay!

After all, the theme of this series is coming of age! I bet it will lost its essence if they decide to kill a character. lol!

// One on one tutorial of Teh and Oh-aew

On the first day of Teh and Oh-aew sesh they had a conversation about Oh-aew's faculty choice. Oh-aew is having doubt if he could really make it. If he can really reach his dream to do Performing Arts or if he will end up in Business Administration and just help his family’s resort business.

TRIVIA: They said that the inspiration for this scene is based on Goy’s real life story. She’s one of the screenwriters. (IG: @goyyog)

Her family wants her to be a doctor but she insists on doing what she loves which is Communications Arts. Her family agreed as long as she makes sure that she will be successful! And yes, she really did well! She is now a famous actress, singer and screenwriter!

// The Chaste Scene

Remember this scene where Teh and Oh-aew told each other that they are still chaste/virgin?

If you analyze, this conversation is on a personal/intimate level. Meaning, they started to get closer and comfortable enough to have this kind of conversation.

// Hibiscus flower symbolism

According to google:

In Victorian times, giving a hibiscus meant that the giver was acknowledging the receiver’s delicate beauty.

In China, hibiscuses symbolize the fleeting and beauty of fame or personal glory. It is given to both men and women.

Now if you noticed Tarn’s undergarment it has a pink Hibiscus print. Why pink instead of other colors? There might be a meaning to this! Google says :

“Pink hibiscus flowers are commonly given to little girls. They can be used to symbolize friendship and many kinds of love (including romantic love, but also other kinds of love, like platonic or familial love).”

Yes! I wanted to highlight Tarn's bra!

Remember this as another Hibiscus color will come to light!

// Teh and Oh-aew's tutorial scene:

Xin means Heart.
In this scene Teh is teaching Oh-aew Chinese words using the root word xin.

Now, remember the following words as it may foreshadow what will happen in their relationship. This got me flippin!

Fang Xin - Trust
Dan Xin - Worried
Guan Xin - Care
Xin Xin - Faith
Shang Xin - Sad

I tried to search for common Chinese words with "xin" now it makes me curious why they did not use the word Kai Xin which means “HAPPY”.

// The get together - where Teh started to steam

Now this marks Teh being "subtly" possessive. He was so upset when he knew that Oh-aew invited their friends for a supposed to be one on one dessert session lol.

Then comes their conversation about romantic relationships. Here goes Oh-aew proudly broadcasting the he never got a girlfriend and still a virgin.

Remember this scene when Oh-aew told Teh not to tell anyone about it?

// Another emotional Teh moment

We can see here that Teh really became upset when Oh-aew mentioned that "everyone" is his friends so he can tell the chaste "secret" to them as well.

Teh is now on the verge of questioning what's wrong with himself and why he felt that way. He is now starting to get "too" emotionally attached to their friendship.

// Exclusivity

Teh meets Oh-aew to boldly say what's on his mind. Teh told Oh-aew that he doesn't want to be equal friends with others. He wants "exclusivity". Oh-aew grasped the situation easily and assured Teh that he is his "closest friend".

And to seal the deal, Oh-aew told Teh a secret that he haven't told anyone...

HE LIKES BAS!

Really!? Lol Teh! You look ecstatic let's see if you will still be on the upcoming episodes!

// Testing the waters

So here is one of Teh's moves to help Oh-aew confirm if Bas also likes Oh-aew. Everyone was so shookt because Teh looks too serious!

Then here goes Bas feeling like it's the end of the world! Teh and Oh-aew was so pleased with Bas' reaction which serves as a confirmation that Bas seems to really like Oh-aew.

I know that we already assumed that Bas is also into Oh-aew since episode one. Remember this car scene?

Now, Teh's joke triggered Bas to do a bold move on Oh-aew.

// Another tutor

The night before Oh-aew and Bas' tutor session, Oh-aew called Teh to ask for permission. Remember when Bas asked Oh-aew if he's free on Sunday? Oh-aew did not directly answered yes and said that he will see if he can make it.

Going back to Oh-aew asking Teh's permission...... Teh seems hesitant, saying that Oh-aew will not be able to focus. After a long pause, Teh just gave in and told Oh-aew to do what he wants as long as he stays focused.

But we can visibly see in Teh's facial expression that he does not like the idea of Bas and Oh-aew being together.

// Bas-Oh Sesh

During Bas and Oh-aew tutor session, Oh-aew posted an ig update and as you can see, Teh was bothered by it. Why bothered though? lol!

Being a curious cat, I searched for the translation of the word on the flash card that Bas was holding. According to google and my Chinese friend it means mutton/lamb:

So why use the word lamb? Again, maybe there's a symbolism lol! And according to my research, this is what it means when you're called a lamb:

"A phrase that is used to compliment somebody who is kind, sweet, and/or gentle."

Triggered! So here goes Teh again doing impulsive act! He was really bothered by the situation so he tried to exhaust his "anger" / "annoyance" and Ta-dah!

Though it was really Tarn who kissed Teh, we cannot be really angry at her. After all, they are into each other and Teh teased her!

Poor Tarn, don't argue with me on this but she was used! Here's Teh checking out if Oh-aew viewed his "sweet" IG story! You see Teh has another agenda lol!

//Another heart to heart talk

We are probably now familiar with Teh's nature so here is Teh again for another heart to heart talk with Oh-aew. Good thing that Oh-aew can really handle Teh's mood swings. Teh is really transparent that's why the observant Oh-aew really know if somethings not right.

To cut the story short, Teh confessed that he was sad about Bas-Oh sesh and he doesn't want others to have his time. Oh-aew agreed as long as Teh also do the same.

They seal the deal by agreeing that even though they might soon have their own partners, they still want to have time for each other. Chouuuuuur!
